Lithium iron phosphate

Lithium iron phosphate cells (LiFePO₄) are a particularly safe and long-lasting type of lithium rechargeable batteries. They offer high cycle stability, stable capacity even at high currents, and excellent thermal stability. This makes them ideal for applications with the highest safety requirements, such as medical technology, e-mobility, industrial uses, and emergency power supplies.

BAK high safety series – safety and performance in 18650 Format
The BAK high safety series represents a new generation of lithium-ion cells based on lithium manganese iron phosphate (LMFP) cathode chemistry. This material offers high thermal stability, enhanced safety and long cycle life, even under demanding conditions. Its compact 18650 format makes the cell a reliable choice for applications across mobility, industrial electronics, and sensor technology.
Typical use cases include electric micromobility, portable energy systems, and communication or safety devices with high energy demands.

Performance profile and model examples
The B18650CX-20M cell delivers a typical capacity of 2,000 mAh at a nominal voltage of 3.6 V. It supports discharge currents up to 10,000 mA (5C) and charge rates up to 2,000 mA (1C). With a cell weight under 45 g and an internal resistance below 20 mΩ, it offers an efficient and cycle-stable solution for devices operating under dynamic load conditions.
