They offer high energy density, high specific energy, and a cell voltage ranging from 3.0 V to 3.7 V. These characteristics make them the preferred solution for long-life, low-power applications.

Alkaline batteries, also known as zinc-manganese dioxide cells, are primary cells based on zinc-manganese chemistry. They offer a nominal voltage of 1.5 V, high capacity, and excellent leak resistance.
