1.5 V coin cell

Panasonic MT series - reliable micro power supply
The rechargeable lithium coin cells of the Panasonic MT series are based on manganese-titanium cathode technology and deliver a stable nominal voltage of 1.5 V. Designed for long-term operation at low current levels, these cells provide high pulse strength and maintain a constant voltage profile. Their temperature-stable design ensures reliable performance even under demanding environmental conditions. For balanced performance and moderate energy demand, the MT621 delivers 2.5 mAh and supports 0.05 mA continuous discharge. Applications requiring higher energy reserves benefit from the MT920, featuring 5.0 mAh and the same continuous output of 0.05 mA.

2.3 V coin cell

Panasonic CTL series – rechargeable power in a compact format
The cobalt titanium lithium technology of the CTL series delivers a reliable, rechargeable power source for miniature devices with minimal energy consumption. With their high pulse capability and temperature stability, these lithium coin cells are ideal for applications where space-saving, long-life power is essential – such as in industrial equipment, medical devices, mobile electronics, or connected sensor technology. The cells provide a stable nominal voltage of 2.3 V, are cycle-resistant, and offer flexible integration options thanks to various terminal configurations.

For ultra-compact devices, the CTL621F is the go-to option – just 6.8 mm in diameter with a capacity of 3.6 mAh, ideal for microsystems with strict space and weight limits.
The CTL920F, measuring 9.5 mm in diameter, offers a capacity of 7.7 mAh and a continuous drain of 0.05 mA – well-suited for portable or energy-efficient systems requiring longer runtime. When performance is the priority, the CTL1616F delivers 13.0 mAh at a continuous drain of 0.10 mA. At only 1.7 mm height, it combines a flat profile with high energy density – a solid choice for industrial and safety-critical applications.

With its excellent cycle stability and low self-discharge, the ML2020 ensures secure voltage support in real-time clocks (RTC) and memory retention circuits.

The ML2020 offers a nominal capacity of 45 mAh and supports continuous discharge currents of 0.12 mA – ideal for low-drain, long-duration tasks. It is designed for use with a constant-voltage charging system within a tight voltage window of 2.8 to 3.2 V. This ensures chemical stability, extends service life, and avoids performance degradation. Trickle charging is not permitted, as it can lead to overvoltage and damage the cell structure.

Reliable energy storage with vanadium technology for industrial precision
The Panasonic VL Series represents high-impulse, temperature-stable lithium coin cells based on vanadium-lithium chemistry. These batteries are engineered for applications requiring compact design and long-term power stability. Unlike primary cells, they offer up to 1,000 charge cycles with consistent performance. This makes them ideal for backup and buffer applications in safety-critical or mobile systems. Their compact size, cycle durability, and stable voltage output ensure maximum reliability – even under demanding ambient conditions from -20 °C to +60 °C.

  • Memory backup for real-time clocks, microcontrollers, and volatile memory
  • Power supply for access systems and remote keyless entry solutions
  • Backup functions in medical devices, alarm systems, and automation controls
  • Constant charging voltage between 3.25 V and 3.55 V
  • No trickle charging allowed – ensures cell stability and long service life
  • Very low self-discharge for extended standby applications
  • Compact dimensions: cell diameters from 12.5 mm to 30.0 mm with a low profile

The VL1220 is extremely compact, delivering 7 mAh with a continuous current of 0.02 mA – ideal for miniaturized electronics. For higher energy needs, the VL2020 offers 20 mAh and 0.07 mA output, suitable for industrial control or medical electronics. The larger models deliver even more power: the VL2330 with 50 mAh and 0.10 mA supports more complex embedded systems, while the VL3032 provides 100 mAh and 0.20 mA for applications requiring maximum energy in mobile measurement or security systems.
